well this has to be one of the best, if not the best interviews to date Ben. it cannot be a coincidence that the rise of awareness and understanding of the left and right hemisphere roles in determining the future of humanity is getting real traction now….

more and more of us are starting to see why we are in such trouble.

i have finished mcgilchrists first book (the master & his emissary) and am part way through “the matter with things part 1” which underpins everything you and Will have discussed today. its so exciting to see how all things are connected… keep on - this is great work Ben and vital to our future survival.

What a fantastic conversation, yes more please! I feel like I’m dropping down into the reality behind the veil of the system. This is SO important, thanks so much Ben and Will.

Brilliant discussion guys. I noticed Will mentioned anthroposophy a few times. These thoughts really align with what Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy, was saying 100 years ago. He rooted his knowledge from an understanding of the individual. In fact he says that the whole purpose of Earth's existence is the development of the human being but unless we consciously participate in it by developing morally into what he termed 'ethical individualism' then the path for humankind would be rocky to put it mildly. I think we’d all agree it’s rocky at the moment!

He also, amongst the many initiatives he set in motion, gave a clear picture of how a healthy society needed to configure itself. It requires us to develop an understanding of how the three core motivational forces (Freedom, Brotherhood, Equality), that came to the surface in a messy way in the French revolution, should be the guiding forces in the three spheres of society (Arts/Science, Economic, Political/Legal). There must be Freedom in the Artistic sphere (this includes education, science). Brotherhood in the economic spehere and Equality in the Legal. All three spheres interact but must retain their autonomy. If the wrong force dominates in the wrong sphere, or one sphere dominates another then societal chaos ensues.

He said that there is actually a social law in the world in the same way as there are laws in nature. He worded it as follows:

"The wellbeing of an entire group of individuals who work together becomes greater the less individuals claim the income resulting from their own accomplishments for themselves-that is, the more they contribute this income to their fellow workers, and the more their own needs are met not through their own efforts but through the efforts of others."

I touch only briefly on the ideas of Rudolf Steiner so don't draw conclusions from what I've said. Only know that there is a wealth of wisdom to be drawn from what he had to say! I'll sign off with a great quote of his on education:

"We shouldn’t ask: what does a person need to know or be able to do in order to fit into the existing social order? Instead we should ask: what lives in each human being, and what can be developed in him or her? Only then will it be possible to direct the new qualities of each emerging generation into society. Then society will become what young people as whole human beings make out of existing social conditions."

I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion. Will is inspiring. I need to go and watch the first one, now. I class myself as a voluntaryist and I totally get the heavy duty of personal responsibility. Having said that I do feel that the tiny number of malevolent, powerful bastards that have been playing the long game in the shadows were let off a bit in this interview. This isn't just 'groupthink" gone off the reservation. We have been systematically harmed over generations culminating in what they are trying to manifest now. They've subverted our education, our wealth, our wellbeing before many of us were even born. They have waged war on us 'plebs' without ever declaring it and I'm not at a point yet where I am prepared to take responsibility for their actions. Thanks as always Ben for your excellent guests and for taking us on your journey with them.

Thank you Adam. Glad you enjoyed it. I agree we have bene systematically harmed, but simply blaming it on everyone else and playing the victim game isn't going to fix anything. We star to turn the tide when we realise we have agency and accountability for our own predicament.

Exactly my position too though I recently enrolled on Saifedean Ammus's course. Halfway through all I can say is "it's all so bloody obvious - why did I pay for this?"🤣.
